In reading the heroic poem Beowulf, one finds the altering ideals of the heathen belief and
the Christian belief of good triumphing over evil. At the clip when Beowulf was written,
narratives were told in narrative verse forms through unwritten tradition. By unwritten tradition it was retold
to audiences throughout the old ages and eventually written down by monastics. Beowulf shows
the heroic qualities of an heroic poem hero through his trueness, strength, and bravery.
In the beginning, Beowulf heard how Grendel filled darks with horror and rapidly commanded a boat fitted out, proclaiming that he d travel to that celebrated male monarch ( 43 ) .
This shows he has trueness to his responsibility because he left when he was needed, though non in hunt of hoarded wealth. In this heroic heroic poem, Beowulf shows his qualities of a hero through his trueness,
strength and bravery. It touches some basic life rules.
