Leadership

Leadership is used mundane by many different people, but chiefly by the same people twenty-four hours after twenty-four hours. These people are know as Leaderships, and in the narratives of Beowulf and Iliad there are some great illustrations of good leaders and bad leaders.

Beowulf is what I would name a good leader ; non merely did he hold leading but he besides showed plentifulness of bravery, regard, strength, and courage. Beowulf showed internal properties of leading by taking the mightiest adult male for an escapade ( line 120 ) , and he besides pointed his work forces straight to Danish shore ( line 124 ) . The physical properties of leading that Beowulf displayed are when he ordered some work forces to stay with their arms and lead the others to take attention of concern ( line 136 ) . The illustrations of what constitutes a good leader that I described above are merely a few of Beowulf s traits to why he is a good leader.

The many other traits of Beowulf besides lead to his good leading accomplishments. Bravery for illustration shows he needs nil but his organic structure and head to suppress his greatest enemies ( line 168 ) . Another trait that caught my oculus is respect ; if there is no regard for a leader than how can one be considered a & # 8220 ; good & # 8221 ; leader. Beowulf one time once more shows great regard for the people, because the people would speak amongst each other about how courageous and brave he was ( lines 380-384 ) .

Beowulf s bravery and strength can non be forgotten, for he hunted monsters out of the ocean ; ( line 156 ) . Wiglaf was one who was sent by Beowulf to acquire hoarded wealth from the firedrakes, before he was to go through away ( lines 756-758 ) . Not merely was Beowulf a great leader in the peoples eyes, but they loved him so much that they

risked their ain lives for his because they respected his leading.

As for the narrative of Iliad, both good and bad illustrations of leading is complied. The two characters that I am traveling to concentrate on are Achilles and Hector. These two characters display their thought of leading in two really different ways.

Hector seemed to me to be a adult male who is sort, giving and thoughtful. As for Achilles, I truly didn T acquire any good feelings of him. Hectors internal sense of leading was that he thinks of others ; he wanted to give his organic structure to the people for heat. The narratives of Beowulf and Iliad helped me to better understand what the difference is between a & # 8220 ; good & # 8221 ; leader and a & # 8220 ; bad & # 8221 ; leader. I believe that this will assist me believe about what I could make to maybe go a better leader and I know it will assist me recognize that non every leader is a & # 8220 ; good & # 8221 ; leader.
