Charles Dickens was a really popular British author. In his old ages of composing he wrote many novels. Most of his novels are different from each other, but there are a few that have the same subject. His background affected his composing a great trade. One of his novels called Great Expectations was a really popular novel that dealt with love, solitariness, and human relationships. Another one of his novels The Christmas Carol dealt with greed, love, and a difficult working adult male. As a novice author he wrote many novels, but as the mature author he wrote many more novels, and dramas.

Devils had a really unsmooth life turning up. Charles Dickens was born on February 7th 1812 in Landport England. As a kid he worked in a shoe polish warehouse where he had to cover pots of paste melanizing with a piece of oil and paper, and so next he had to cover it with bluish paper. Working at that place was really difficult and it was a awful experience for him. ( Commire 64 ) He had small instruction and he was the 2nd of eight kids. In 1836 he married Catherine Hograth and they had ten kids. Charles Dickens died on June 8th 1870 in Gadshill England from a shot. ( Commire 55 ) Dickens had a really busy life before composing. At age 12 he began working foremost at the shoe polish warehouse, so at age 15 he was an lawyers clerk. Next he was a newsman for the True Sun, and so to the Morning Chronicle, and many more newspapers. ( Commire 55 )

As the novice author all of his novels, and dramas foremost appeared in periodicals such as the Monthly Magazine. He about had a phase calling while he was working as a tribunal newsman. In 1836 his fresh Pickwick Paper was a immense success. ( Commire 79 ) He and his married woman traveled to America in January of 1842 and returned to England in June. In October of 1842 American Notes was published. ( Commire 82 ) Dickens kids influenced many of his Hagiographas. Some of the characters in his novels were created from his kids, married woman, and sister. ( Commire 85 ) In 1860-61 Great Expectations was published. On June 8th 1870 he had a shot and died. ( Commire 62 ) Many of his books are really much alike. A few of his books cover with love, and hurting. In 1829 he fell in love with a adult female named Maria Beadnell, and subsequently she became a theoretical account for Dora in the novel David Copperfield. ( Commire 77 ) Two of *censored*ens Hagiographas are really different the two novels that will be talked about are Great Expectations and Christmas Carol. ( Commire 79 )

As the mature author Dickens began to compose better and his books were more human like. Great Expectations was published in 1860-61. There are two major subjects discussed in this novel. First, love in the context of human relationships, and isolation, which brings solitariness. ( Dickens 10 ) In isolation the greatest wickedness we commit against others and ourselves is to eschew human company as Miss Haversham did. By indurating her bosom she committed a offense against herself. Miss Haversham adopted Estella, but non as a loving action, but a move to turn the kid into a hardhearted individual against work forces. ( Dickens 52 ) Estella is really stray which is portion responsible for Pip & # 8217 ; s snobbism from Joe and Biddy. ( Dickens 54 ) Estella enters into a loveless matrimony to Drummle, who is really barbarous to her. This shows that no affair how hardhearted one is there is ever person more heartless. ( Dickens 107 ) Magwitch is besides stray. He becomes really thankful for Pips actions toward him. Pip gave him nutrient, and that makes Magwitch develop a fatherlike action toward Pip. Love in the context of human relationships is best shown through Pip. ( Dickens 417 )

In the fresh Christmas Carol there were two major subjects. First, greed is a major action in this narrative. The 2nd subject in this narrative is love. ( Hardy 51 ) The chief character in the narrative is Scrooge, who is the greediest adult male alive. He owns a concern and a adult male named Bob plants for him. Greed affects Scrooges life and besides Bob & # 8217 ; s household. Bob is non paid really much and hence he can & # 8217 ; t back up his household. Scrooge hates Christmas and he ne’er goes to any household di

nners. ( Hardy 57 )

On Christmas Eve Scrooge receives a visit from the shade of Christmas yesteryear, nowadays, and hereafter. In the visit he sees all the things in the yesteryear, nowadays, and hereafter. He ne’er realized how greedy he was until so. When he went to Bob & # 8217 ; s house and saw the repast that the household is eating and how ill Tiny Tim is he realizes how incorrect he was. ( Dickens 20 ) Everyone in the town saw a major alteration in him the following forenoon he bought a Meleagris gallopavo and visited Bob. ( Dickens 50 ) When Bob goes to work the following twenty-four hours Scrooge says,

& # 8220 ; Now I & # 8217 ; ll state you what, my friend, I am non traveling to stand this kind of thing any longer, and hence he continued jumping from his stool and giving Bob such a excavation in the waist the he staggered back into the armored combat vehicle once more, and hence I am traveling to raise your salary. & # 8221 ; ( Dickens 75 )

Second, love is a major subject in this narrative. At first Scrooge doesn & # 8217 ; t demo love at all, but in the terminal he is a really loving individual. Bob loves his household really much and he wants them to hold all they need to last. ( Dickens 46 ) Scrooge & # 8217 ; s nephews love him really much and want him to be a portion of the household. ( Dickens 10 ) Love plays a really large function in this narrative because at the terminal if there weren & # 8217 ; t love so Scrooge would still be the same greedy adult male that he was earlier.

Both of these novels are really good novels. Love is a subject that takes topographic point in both of these books. ( Smith 925 ) In the book Great Expectations the two major subjects were love and isolation, and in the book Christmas Carol the two major subjects were greed and love. ( Smith 927 ) Love is a really of import subject in both of these books they both show how a small spot of love can alter a individual everlastingly. ( Smith 928 ) Greed and isolation could resemble each other, because if person is isolated for a long clip they may go avaricious toward others. ( Smith 930 )

Dickens feels really strong about love and it reflects his life. Dickens one time said,

& # 8220 ; It is fantastic to me how I could hold been so easy project off at such an age? .. My male parent and Mother were rather satisfied? My whole nature was so penetrated with heartache and humiliation of such considerations, that even now celebrated, caressed, and happy. I frequently forget in my dreams that I have a beloved married woman and kids ; even that I am a adult male and wander disconsolately back to that clip of my life. & # 8221 ; ( Dickens 538 )

Devils loved his kids and married woman really much. In most of his books his kids were theoretical accounts for characters. ( Smith 933 ) Many people feel that some of his books are misdirecting. ( Hardy 50 )

Charles John Huffman Dickens was his full name. I feel that he was a really successful author in his clip and besides many of his books are popular today. I think that most of his books cover with existent life state of affairss and they are non some fairy narrative. Most authors today write about things that will ne’er go on in a individual & # 8217 ; s life, for illustration in Great Expectations it is a existent life thing. A kid can be an orphan and experience stray and lonely. Besides in Christmas Carol greed is a existent life thing. There are a batch of people in the universe that are avaricious with money. Many people don & # 8217 ; t observe Christmas for the right ground and money is a large issue in the universe today. I feel that many people could be influenced by Dickens work. There are many kids that are lonely or isolated today due to money and brainsick things that have been brought into this universe. I had merely read two of Charles Dickens books before I done this study, but now that I have studied him and found more interesting things about him I plan to read more of his work. Many of his books are enigmas, but many people like to read them. I feel that his work has or could do a major influence on the universe. If people would merely take the clip to sit down and read so possibly they would larn how of import their kids are. Many people in the universe are excessively busy to pass clip with their kids, or they are worrying about doing money. Greed and love are two emotions that can & # 8217 ; t be put together. If you are avaricious it is really difficult for you to love.
