William Henry Harrison, ( 1773-1841 ) , was 9th President of the United States. The oldest president up until so, he was besides the first to decease in office, lasting merely one month. With his known Indian contending his was given the nickname Old Tippecanoe and Old Tip. He was the first presidential campaigner to run actively for office. William Henry Harrison was born on Feb. 9, 1773, on the James River in Charles City County, Virginia. He was the youngest of seven kids, four misss and three male childs. His parents, Benjamin and Elizabeth Bassett Harrison, were from outstanding Virginia households. The Harrison s male parent had served in both Continental Congresses and signed the Declaration of Independence.

Harrison received his early instruction at place. He entered Hampden-Sydney College in 1787 and subsequently enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania to analyze medical specialty. Harrison merely faced one job during his presidential term in which he turned the job over to Daniel Webster. This job was known as the Caroline matter. Webster negotiated the Webster-Ashburton Treaty in 1842 and all was good.
