Beowulf has been a really good and controversial piece of literature since it was foremost written back in the fourteenth century. John Gardner, an American writer was born in Batavia, New York. Gardner was novelist, heroic poet, and a bookman. He was born on July 21, 1933. There he attended local schools and worked on his male parent? s farm. He grew up liking music and literature. Although being drawn to chemistry he decided to travel into writ tinkle, holding good classs in English an all. Gardner finally became a well-known author and wrote many narratives, one of them is Grendel. In one of his greatest plant, entitled, Grendel, he depicts a ferocious man-like animal, who kills warriors and eats them for tiffin. In the narrative, Hrothgar is the? good cat? , and Grendel is the enemy. In the narrative of Grendel, the monster is depicted as intelligent instead than a monster full of force. Grendel is really sharp and clever and takes advice from the firedrake. Grendel proves this when he defies Uther in non killing him. He makes merriment of him when Uther challenges Grendel to a battle. Grendel is much bigger and makes merriment of him in the throwing of the apples. The monster as Grendel is frequently refered as, attempts at one clip to convene with the people, but is frequently attacked when he causes fear, such as the fright that the firedrake caused him.
