Like Hemingway s Farewell to Arms, this novel provides us with a graphic image of life on the forepart. It was anything but glamourous, people were killed, people got ill, work forces lost their heads. Unlike Hemingway though, Joseph Heller gives us a mellow and informal position of the war. With the usage of good duologue and great descriptions, we get a first-hand glance of the work forces of an American Army.
Yossarian was decidedly my favourite character. He is so unpredictable and so farcical. He lives with the changeless fright of dying- he despises the war. In fact, many times we hear of him intentionally forging unwellness to acquire to a infirmary off of the forepart. I can associate to him though. Could you imagine cognizing that you re seting your life on the line every twenty-four hours? It had to hold been hard.
Many times during the novel, I questioned the
