In the film and or novel The Grapes of Wrath. John Steinbeck attacks and takes on. many political and societal jobs that the depression held. One subject that seems to be overlooked is how the plot line has many illustrations of economic forces at work in the movie.

One of these economic forces. which are besides one of the most evident. in the movie is the message of unemployment. At the gap of the movie the household of the grapes of wrath are faced with eviction from their farm place ; which is due largely because of the dust bowl every bit good as the great depression. The household. out of work. decides to go cross-country with the hopes of happening a occupation as migratory workers. merely to happen that a hiring gambit had been pulled. which made this following economic force apparent to the household.

Sadly. John Steinbeck isn’t one for happy terminations. reasoning on a light point of hope and insight amidst environing unhappiness and distraught. The analysis of this novel/movie as in the criterions of economic forces is dissing to this great piece of American literature. disfiguring it’s deep underlying messages given in the last chapter ( or scene ) through intense “biblical” imagination. that show an history of humanity and humanity’s doggedness to last and win.
