Hamlet: Hamlet Defeated By His Own Defects

In William Shakespeare & # 8217 ; s good known tragic drama, Hamlet, the chief

character Hamlet is defeated by his ain defects. These defects are the violent death of

Polonius, the violent death of Claudius, and most of all by Hamlet being misled by the

Ghost. The violent death of Polonius is a major defect of Hamlets because it got him

killed by Laertes. Besides the violent death of his uncle Claudius was tragic, since he

was his uncle and he made Hamlet really angry towards his female parent. The last and

most celebrated defect of Hamlet & # 8217 ; s was him being misled by the Ghost and prosecuting in

his program of lunacy.

The first of Hamlets defects is the violent death of Polonius. The decease of

Polonius was an accident that shouldn & # 8217 ; Ts have happened. Hamlet believed the

individual behind the curtain was so Claudius. After Hamlet pull his tuck,

tallies it through the curtains, and putting to deaths Polonius. He asks? & # 8220 ; Is it the King? & # 8221 ; He

so he is drawn into a het conversation with his female parent, Gertrude, over the

short delay after old male monarch Hamlets decease for her to remarry. He says & # 8220 ; Almost as

bad, good female parent, As kill a male monarch, and get married his brother & # 8221 ; . The major consequence of

his violent death of, Polonius, was so his decease. This enkindled Laertes & # 8217 ; retaliation

on Hamlet which resulted in Hamlet & # 8217 ; s decease.

Merely as the violent death of Polonious was a tragic defect of Hamlets, so was

R / & gt ;

the violent death of Claudius. This defect of Hamlets which was to be the solo retaliation

of Claudius brought upon the decease of Gertrude, Polonius, and Laertes. The

lunacy in Hamlet was to be unleashed merely on Claudius. Yet Hamlet & # 8217 ; s way of

devastation killed his female parent, she was killed by the toxicant meant for Hamlet by

Claudius. Laertes decease was brought on by the violent death of Polonius. The affaire d’honneur

between Hamlet and Laertes, which was the ordered retaliation on Hamlet, was the

concluding base of each.

Although the violent deaths Hamlet carried out were defects he possessed,

another major defect was his ignorance in following the Ghost. Hamlet was warned

non to follow the Ghost that there must be some evil in him, but he didn & # 8217 ; T

listen. Both Horatio and Marcellus forcefully try to keep back the prince, but

he will non be restrained. Hamlets following of the Ghost & # 8217 ; s instructions to derive

retaliation on Claudius, corrupted his life. This secret plan of retaliation started his

lunacy which led to the inadvertent violent death of Polonius, the violent death of himself

and Laertes, and besides the decease of his female parent.

In William Shakespeare & # 8217 ; s tragic drama, Hamlet, the defects in Hamlets

determinations brought out the worst. These defects resulted in the violent death of four

close influential figures, Gertrude, Laertes, Polonius, and Claudius. This drama

is a tragic drama because the chief character & # 8217 ; s life is taken for the satisfaction

of one he loved.
