Mobile Phone Search

            Money is something that people acquire after many days of work and stress. Due to this, most people want to see the worth of their money. Therefore individuals buy material things in order to see the fruit of their hard work furthermore they invest in the things that they want and also need. I myself am one of these people who want to see the worth of my efforts and sacrifices. After I get my paycheck, I try to save up half of my money in order to buy something that I truly like. Lately my mobile phone had not been working properly. I have a Nokia 6600 for the past 4 years and it never let me down. I guess due to the extensive time that I have used it, the phone have already gotten tired. For this reason, I have decided that I must buy a new phone for myself. Since it is a Christmas season a new phone will be the best gift I could give myself. In addition, a new mobile phone would be a great investment for me.

            In order to search for a new phone, I have first decided to reflect on what type of mobile phone I would prefer. The first thing I tried to achieve was to investigate what types of phones people usually have. Due to the wide-ranging types of mobile phones, there are so many kinds to choose from. There are slide phones, touch screen phones, flip phones and the normal ones. Around my area, most people use the normal phones. Although I have not asked any of them the reason for this I do see that it is very time saving in comparison to the flip, slide or touch screen phones. Given that individuals could easily unlock the phone after two to three seconds it is much useful for people that are in the go. In addition, most people have their headsets on. In assumption, it could be said that most individuals would want a phone that also provides music therefore having a mobile phone with and a music player in one.

            After seeing the needs of most people I also analyzed what I want and prioritized to have. I wanted a different mobile phone compared to most people yet I also want something that would provide me all the things that I need. As an avid Nokia user for the past 4 years, I already had been acquainted with the system of the mobile brand therefore I would prefer to use the same brand again. However, I asked and investigated among my friends that they have heard hear says about the battery life of most Nokia branded phones. In addition, my friends told me that the new Nokia N-series have poor system performance and the phones mostly hang, has a slow system as well as a short battery life. After knowing such claims about the latest Nokia phones, I searched some forums in the internet. I saw that many of the users of the Nokia N96 (the phone that I wanted) were very disappointed by the battery life and the slow system processing of the mobile phone. In addition, the N96 is very expensive compared to other models available. Although it has a quality mp3 player, wireless internet access and a television access I do not think that I would want a phone which could take all my savings. Therefore, I decided to switch to another phone that would fit my budget.

            I again searched the internet for the latest and coolest phone which could fit my budget. I saw a phone named LG KP500 or LG cookie (GSM arena). Although LG is not really a brand of my choice I find it very interesting that it does have a low price given that it is a touch screen phone. I searched in the internet for the price of the phone and it is totally affordable. In many YouTube accounts, I searched the phone LG KP500 and many samples of the phone being demonstrated to the public. In addition, I also saw the specifications of the phone which I do believe very appropriate for all the needs that I have. After seeing the videos made by various YouTube subscribers, I seek for various reviews regarding the LG KP500 and I saw that there are many advantages and disadvantages regarding the phone. First, it does not have a wireless internet connection however; I figured that I do not really need such feature because I have other ways to connect to the internet. Also, not all places I go to provides free internet connection. In addition, the LG KP500 does not have television software that would enable me to watch television. But then, I also realized that television could only distract me in my work and in school. I realized that there are many advantages with this phone; it is slimmer than an iphone which means that I would fit perfectly in my pocket. In addition, it has a very big memory capacity which means that I could store many mp3s and videos. On top of that it has a good sound quality that would be entertain me whenever I am reading or walking around.

            After seeing the good points and compatibility of this phone with my needs, I figured that this is the best phone regarding features and its price. Having a touch screen, a mobile phone and a quality mp3 player in a cheap price is something that I really want to buy for myself this Christmas. However, the LG KP500 phone has only been released in the United Kingdom (Lanxon, 2008). I am guessing that the Cookie is would be released in early 2009. Although I need to wait for it to come here in the United States, I guess the wait is very worth it.

            With my search of a new phone, I did use many sources in order to find acquire different information. I mostly use the internet as the main basis of my research. Moreover, I also asked my friends and acquaintances regarding the phones that I like. Although I did not use any first hand information regarding the LG KP500, the forums were very helpful in making my decision of choosing cookie as my future phone. In the end, the investigation that I did was very successful. I believe that I chose the right phone in a very cheap price. I would surely wait for the release of this mobile phone in the United States.
