Agnes Gonxa Bojaxhiu was born August 26, 1910 in Skopje, Macedonia. Her household belonged to the Albanian Community. She was baptized as a Catholic, although the bulk of the Albanians were Muslim. Her male parent taught her first lessons in charity. Wholly unexpected, when Agnes was nine, her male parent died. Drana, female parent of Agnes, raised the three kids entirely. Throughout Agnes? s childhood her female parent kept them active in the Catholic faith. Everyday they Agnes and her household would travel to church and prayed the rosary every twenty-four hours in May.
Agnes enjoyed church ; she liked to read, pray, and loved to sing. A great portion of her clip besides went to the Legion of Mary. Her work for the ill and hapless won the regard of the universe and the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.
