The elephants both have strong bonds that others can’t decipher. Both elephants show love towards their trainers as they foresee their redemption. Conrad although a sort and loving elephant was murdered harshly in the terminal of Ghost Boy for treading a sideshow act. In Water for Elephants Rosy passed off peacefully of old age. These two unique characters mirror each other when it comes to other’s demands. The characters in both narratives had to confront struggles and effects which coincided to uncover the similarities between the elements.

The chief struggles in the book and movie are Person versus Self. Due to conditions at place Harold and Jacob were forced to go forth. Jacob had to digest the loss of his parents and their luck. Jacob’s male parent had allowed people to maintain check on what they owe. When Jacob’s parents passed off the checks were wiped clean and Jacob had no money and no where to travel. This resulted in an interior argument within himself. Likewise. Harold who was continuously harassed. was forced with an inner contention to remain or travel.

All in all both characters had to confront similar determinations which play a major in the flowering of the remainder of their narratives. In malice of several similarities in elements between these narratives. their secret plans remain independent of each other. However Ghost Boy and Water for Elephants closely resemble each other in footings of several elements.
