AIDS is an epidemic that has been treated like every other pestilence in history. Because it is human nature to be afraid of what one can non command, people are constantly afraid of disease and infection. Furthermore, the fright is escalated many times over in that the disease starts commanding the individual who it has infected. As a consequence, society as a whole ostracizes and black lists anyone and anything that is believed to be associated with the disease.
Many people think the United States is place of the most modern and developed society in the universe. Yet, this society remains flawed in that its reaction to disease mirrors that of mediaeval times. Although this a society that can construct anything and travel anyplace, the basic frights of world are about wholly the same as the dark ages. It is true that we are faced with bigger and ugly jobs. However, we still seek to happen whipping boies for these jobs alternatively of seeking to understand them.
Presently, the United States is seeking to cover with the AIDS epidemic. However, that was non our initial reaction.
