The Massacre at Wounded Knee was a awful conflict in American History. This slaughter was between the Native Americans and the US authorities. Back so ; the US authorities hated Native Americans. They would handle Native Americans dreadfully by killing them. stealing their land and much more.

Many different contentions started all of this problem. The Sioux folk had no American bison. and they couldn’t roam wherever they wanted. It was about like the US authorities merely had them trapped. They couldn’t travel where they wanted to without the US authorities seeking to destruct their lives.
Some people from the Sioux folk were sent on a mission to Nevada. The ground they did this was to hear the wise words from Paiute prophet/man named Wovake. This adult male spoke of a new dirt that was traveling to cover the Earth. and Indians would populate in peace once more. He besides said they were to dance the “Ghost Dance. ” This dance would protect them from the US authorities.
Subsequently on the Indians started to stand for the “Ghost Dance” which brought fright to some of the US. They thought the Indians have gone brainsick. and they needed to kill them for protection. The military took action by killing Siting Bull on December 25th. and Large Foot was traveling to be the following 1 killed.
Large Foot heard about Siting Bull’s decease and led him and his folk to the South. They tried to settle at Pine Ridge reserve. but the US stopped the program and they retreated to the border of Wounded Knee. Not long after did things start to travel downhill. I believe the name was changed from “Battle of Wounded Knee” to “Massacre at Wounded Knee” for a good ground. A slaughter is act of butchering. and slaying a immense figure of people. When I researched about The Massacre at Wounded Knee. I don’t understand how it could hold been a conflict.
One ground I think it couldn’t even be called a conflict is because the folk was non prepared for it. Normally conflicts are planned and know itsits coming. The US authorities merely showed up out of the blue. and started butchering many work forces. adult females. and kids. I don’t see how this could non be called a slaughter.
The Massacre at Wounded Knee was a terrible licking. While I was researching I learned that merely about 25 US military work forces died. Meanwhile over 300 tribe members died. They fled for their lives. but they didn’t win.
When people think of a conflict. they usually think of like the conflict of Lexington and Concord. or some type of existent conflict.
