” This quotation mark shows the nonnatural belief that God. nature. and humanity are united in a shared cosmopolitan psyche. The quotation mark shows this belief by stating that nature allows us to go detached from the day-to-day modus operandi of the universe so that we take some clip to see everything and experience that we are portion of nature and portion of God. ” In this transition from the narrative we are able to see that Hawthorne is intentionally knocking the Transcendental belief that God. nature. and humanity are united in a shared cosmopolitan psyche. First of all. he talks of the Psalms. holy page and Scriptures which all lead up to the Bible. Then he writes that the Minister was seeking to conceal something from the apprehension Being. This is where he capitalizes Being as if to state God and calls God dreadful or terrorization. Hawthorne attempts to divide humanity and God by dividing the Minister from God by utilizing the head covering as their boundary.
This criticize is once more seen on page 339 in the 2nd paragraph in the fifth sentence where it states “The topic had mention to secret wickedness. and those sad enigmas which we hide from our nearest and dearest. and would fain conceal from our ain consciousness. even burying that the Omniscient can observe them. ” We can once more see Hawthorne knocking the same Transcendental belief because he says that we conceal our wickednesss from everyone even those who we love but we forget that the Omniscient or omniscient God can still see them.

Anti Transcendentalism merely focuses on the negative facet of people such as the uncertainness of people and the limited abilities we have on Earth. Unlike Transcendentalism which says that everything has a good significance and is connected to a godly power such as God.
