When most people talk about or believe about bondage, they look at how it effected the US. The Atlantic Slave Trade had a immense consequence on the US but there are no words or looks that can depict the effects it had on Africa and its household? s. It is estimated that between 1450 and 1900, there were 11,698,000 slaves exported from Africa. ( Atlantic Slave trade, pg.170 ) To understand the effects this had on Africa you must see the households that lost relations, the shops that lost concern, and even the friends that lost friendly relationships. None of the bad lucks can be brought back or replaced. The many lives that were taken can ne’er be brought back to life. This non merely effected the African civilization when it happened but besides it effects today? s societies in Africa. The overall net consequence of the Atlantic Slave Trade on Africa could ne’er be estimated unless you are inside one of the relations of a slave. These slaves died for no other evident ground than the colour of their tegument.
The effects that the slave trade had on Africa were non all negative. Depending on what point of position your looking from, there were besides some positives of the Atlantic Slave Trade.
