The popular book Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice is a novel that is responsible for the revival of the lamia genre in popular fiction. The book itself tells an interesting narrative about three lamias: Lestat. Louis. and Claudia. The narrative is told from the position of Louis. a Creole American plantation proprietor in pre-Civil War America who catches the oculus of Lestat. a lamia who is rolling the universe entirely. in demand of a comrade. Each character brings a new dimension to the narrative.
