Kate Chopin? s The Story of an Hour and Gail Godwin? s A Sorrowful Woman are both similar pieces of literary work in that both narratives offers a disclosure glance of highly unhappy matrimonies. Both Mrs. Mallard and the nameless kept woman in A Sorrowful Woman called ( the married woman ) seem to uncover a job or perchance a disease which is obviously inherited through the establishment of there matrimonies.
