International Trade Debate Part II

            In a world today where stiff competitions arise, the idea of trading, most especially international trading, should indeed always be welcomed and should therefore be encouraged instead of restricted. International trading can very well speak of a lot of things which can eventually give way to a more progressive global community. Let me show to you three specific points why it is very advantageous to embrace such an idea of international trading.

            First, when we speak of international trade, it may simply be directed and associated towards considering each country’s comparative advantage. According to an international economic article, Comparative advantage is defined as the capacity of a particular country to give up one unit of good in order to produce another type of product which that country has the best resources to produce it. This simply means that countries can specialize certain type of goods and can eventually trade these goods to others. And while doing so, trade barriers should be removed to pave the way for a much profitable trading among nations. In the long run, these would eventually result to a higher economic output for the international community. When we restrict the international community from this international trading, we might as well be restricting the opportunities that we could possibly get since we have to take into account such factors like technology differences, labor cost differences, and the like among the different countries all over the world.

            Secondly, it is very vital to consider the trade effects that we can get out of this international trading. These effects include the goods, the production level, employment level, consumption level, and the wages and income. By giving the countries a chance to trade with the international community freely, it can increase the production level of goods, thereby helping increase the level of employment and productivity for a particular nation and the rest of the nations in the global community. This will then eventually result to trade gains across the nations.

            Lastly, international trading should never be restricted for we, among all, are the ones who can benefit from it. By allowing it, we can freely choose goods and services from a variety of options across the nations.

            To sum it up, this may have helped people to view international trading as an opportunity that we should all embrace and not as a threat that should be avoided. Thus, international trading should be freely allowed in the international market. If we would want to improve then this might be one of the best ideas to do so.
