There are two sorts of people in this universe, followings and leaders. Followings are the people that ne’er take a leading function in any activity. However leaders are the 1s that use their leading accomplishments to do a difference in this universe, such as presidents, instructors, or even college alumnuss. Leadership is non something you can larn from a book, but you have to derive this accomplishment through experiences such as keeping an office, forming an event, speech production in forepart of people, or take parting in a leading plan. This is one of the grounds I want to be portion of College & # 8217 ; s Leadership plan. I want to derive the cognition and accomplishments necessary to do a different in my school, my community, my county, and even my universe. This plan will give me the information so I can go a leader, non a follower. The accomplishments I learn will be taken back to my community and applied to a in-between school plan that I am involved in, and in Lincoln County 4-H.

Leadership is non something you can take lightly. Many pupils at my high school would acquire elected to a leading place and non execute the occupations and responsibilities associated with the office. It was more of a popularity competition than a serious committedness. Over the old ages, I have been elected to several offices and I have realized that if you are elected to a leading place you should execute the occupation responsibilities because many people are numbering on you. I have tried to the best of my ability to populate up to my committednesss.

O recognize that non all leading places are elected or appointed. Many are people make up one’s minding something demands to be done in there town and making it themselves. I have taken this sort of leading function in many activities including being a Junior Counselor at Camp. Each twelvemonth I was in charge of a cabin of 20 misss, who’s ages ranged for 9-12 old ages old. By being a counsellor, I had the chance to utilize my leading function to assist many childs see what chances there was in 4-H. Since so many of the campers have become really involved and some have even received awards at the State Fair. I didn’t travel to bivouac merely to state I completed some many community service hours this summer, but to be a “big sister” to the campers and assist so turn as a individual. The accomplishments I will derive in this plan will assist me be a better counsellor.

Community service is besides really of import to me, because it gives something back to my community. Service in a little manner will do person & # 8217 ; s twenty-four hours better because you took the clip to see them in the infirmary or convey them a newspaper. When I volunteered in my local infirmary the aged patients looked frontward to when you came to see them. I think I got more out of volunteering so the people I helped because I had realized I made a different in person & # 8217 ; s life.

The ground I want to take part in the Leadership plan is to derive new leading and community service accomplishments, and better on the current 1s so when I return to my little place town I can utilize this tools to do a difference in County.
