Oedipus Rex as a Tragic Hero
Before the 20th century dramas were chiefly written as either a calamity or comedy. In a tragic drama the tragic hero will frequently make something that will finally destruct him. In the book Oedipus the King, Oedipus Rex is the tragic hero. In a tragic drama the chief character, which is portrayed as Oedipus, will make a good title that will in turn make him a hero. This hero will make his tallness of pride in the narrative, and in the terminal the action, which he had committed earlier, will return and destruct this adult male who was one time called a hero.
This soon-to-be male monarch solved the conundrum of the Sphinx, which had been killing the immature work forces of Thebes as they tried to go forth. The people of Thebes respected Oedipus, for he had saved the metropolis from the Sphinx, by replying this conundrum.
