Academy award Romero was a modern twenty-four hours prophesier every bit good as an advocator of the anawim. He was an astonishing adult male. His life was dedicated to the public assistance of the anawim. The anawim of El Salvador were those who were non involved with the armed forces, the guerrilla, or the authorities. No one exterior of those three groups possessed any power. Romero was genuinely a adult male for others. He thought of the people as comrades and as relations. Romero gives us several illustrations that show us that he followed the advice of Saint Paul. We can associate the actions of the Ebla male monarchs to those actions of Romero. Romero had one message. It was? I will lift once more in the people. ? As Jesus was, Romero was besides tempted into ownership. His reaction to ownership is much different than our position of ownership.

Romero is evidently a adult male for others. He was a adult male who did non populate for himself, but for others and Christ. Every action done by Romero was intended to assist others. Not one of his actions were done to assist himself. Everything was intended to assist others.

Romero? s attitude toward the hapless of El Salvador can be related to the feelings of Arrupe? s Jesuit Alumni. Arrupe idea of the Jesuit Alumni as his friends, his household, and his comrades. Romero has really strong feelings toward the people around him. He does non look down upon the hapless and laden. He looks at them oculus to oculus. He thinks of them as his household and his friends. Everything that he does is intended to assist them.

Romero follows the advice of St. Paul. ? Do non be overcome evil, nevertheless, overcome evil with good. ? He faces state of affairss everyday where he is overcome by immorality. However, he ne’er gives in to it. He does non move in an evil mode upon them, but ever overcomes the immorality with goodness. An illustration of his goodness can be seen as Romero lead his followings into the church. He is hurt by the devastation of the Eucharist, but does non move in a harmful manner. He leads a peaceable walk back into the church to calmly take over their church. Another illustration of his goodness is seen as Romero walks out of the graveyard and into the little town. The soldier strips the apparels off of Romero. However, Romero does non move violently against the solder. He so overcomes the immorality by stating the mass in the center of the street.

During the times of Ebla Kings, the male monarchs were in charge of taking attention of the widowed, the hapless, and the orphaned. If the male monarch did non take attention of those undertakings, he lost his place. The govern

ment of El Salvador is in complete resistance with the Ebla Kings. Alternatively of protecting the citizens of El Salvador, the authorities hurt the people. The authorities injured, tortured, and murdered the citizens of the state. If the authorities had taken attention of the hapless before the jobs arose, thousand of households and lives would hold been saved.

Throughout the narrative, Romero gave us several messages. The first message was that? You are Jesus Christ. ? The 2nd message that was shown was that he would lift once more in the people. Those two messages greatly helped the people.

Both Jesus and Romero were tempted. Romero was tempted with legion gifts. As he became Archbishop, he was given many beautiful gifts. He was given some of the nicest luxuries in life. However, we see that he merely takes and enjoys the gifts that

are a necessity in life. As the film shows, the lone gift that he is given and enjoys is the new brace of black places. The ground he enjoys and accepts them is that they are a necessity in every twenty-four hours life.

The Catholics in the narrative appear to hold a strong sense of God and Jesus. They seem to see God in many facets of their lives. Many of those people have nil and live in hovels. But they still have a strong sense toward their Jesus. Their faith was the lone thing that many people of El Salvador have.

In my head, Romero was an astonishing adult male. He was one of the strongest work forces that I have of all time heard of. He went through so much hurting and adversity but still has the bravery to stand up to the liquidators of his friends. I do non believe that I would be able to make what he did. I am non near to being as brave and strong as he. I am more of a selfish individual. I would non be able to give all of my clip and strength to those around me. I would non be able to follow St. Paul? s advice. I would get the better of evil with immorality, non goodness. Romero does non look like a distant and distant historical figure. There are many people today who live their lives similar to that of Romero. We can associate Romero to as strong figure within out Community at St. Peter? s. Father Azzarto can be related to the life of Romero. Merely Father Azzarto? s life is on a much minor grade. Azzarto? s life is dedicated to heliping others. Whether is be a pupil at St. Peter? s or a little Nigerian small town in Africa. Either manner, he is besides a true adult male for others. Romero likely led the

manner for many militants since 1980. Merely a few people in this universe have the strength and love that Father Romero possessed.
