Education is the most important thing in all spheres of activities. Without proper education, women will not be able to fulfill their desires. Education is the tool that can help break the pattern of gender discrimination and bring lasting change for women in developing countries. Educated women are essential to ending gender bias, starting by reducing the poverty that makes discrimination even worse in the developing world. The most basic skills in literacy and arithmetic open up opportunities for better-paying jobs for women.

The longer a girl is able to stay in school, the greater her chances to pursue worthwhile employment, higher education, and a life without the hazards of extreme poverty. By educating the women of the country, the country develops further and the women themselves gain personal benefits. Women who have had some schooling are more likely to get married later, survive childbirth, have fewer and healthier children, and make sure their own children complete school. It boosts the developing process of the country and facilitates its growth. Women give their own unique contribution to the country which is invaluable and can never be gained by any other. In today’s world, the best developed countries- USA, Russia, UK- have the hand and support of women. They are essential for making the country reach its zenith in commercial and industrial development. But in India, women are forced to believe the top seats of power are only for men and that they are incapable of accomplishing anything.

This false belief should be eradicated from their minds and they should step up to take positions of power. Empowering women gives them a better understanding of the world. They can anticipate the changes in the hereafter and thus contribute to a more peaceful. They can influence society against social evils and orthodox practices. Furthermore they can educate women and influence them to rise up against the practices against their gender and encourage them to develop society.

It will also increase the level of technological development, job opportunities and industrial activities. Women can take up different positions in various fields such as medicine, environment, politics, literature, business and industry. They can enhance their abilities and hone their talents which boost up the expansion process of these industries because of many unique personalities joining their field. They will thus contribute to the development of their respective fields; and as a whole, the country.

This step to empower women and give them an identity in society will have a tremendous effect upon the country’s development and will boost the morale of many others. It will also be one step closer to eradicating poverty, eliminate hunger and paramedical diseases; and the emergence of a more prosperous and developed country. Only when women are educated enough to take on responsibilities and are empowered will the distorted image of India finally be whole once again. Therefore, empowerment of women is necessary to transform a developing country into a developed country.
