Book of Job: Agony
The book of Job 1:3, in The New Oxford Annonated Bible, states & # 8220 ; Job was the
greatest adult male among all in the East. & # 8221 ; He was a faithful retainer of God, he owned
1000s of animate beings, and had many retainers and friends. Job had a really big
household with seven boies and three girls. Why was Job chosen to endure and
receive penalty at the custodies of the Lord 1 may inquire? The major subjects in
the book describe the ways Job trades with agony and desperation the Lord handed
him. How one deals with desperation and agony is what makes a individual who he or
she is.
The Lord is non a alien to enduring. Psalms 69:33-36, provinces? The
Lord hears the needy and does non contemn his confined people. Let Eden and
Earth congratulations him. The seas and all that move in them. For God will salvage Zion
and reconstruct the metropoliss of Judah. Then people will settle at that place and possess it ;
the kids of his retainers will inherit it ; and those who love his name will
dwell there. ? God does non deliberately inflict desperation and grief on his
trusters for no ground at all. I think the desperation we experience, and how we
trade with it, is a trial to demo our true egos.
The Lord does non do us endure because of what we have done. Through
agony, we become better people and turn as an person. You find your
individuality through awful experiences. I have dealt with serious grief and
make believe that I have grown from it. I have learned how to respond to certain
state of affairss and how to get the better of them.
I looked up the word & # 8220 ; enduring & # 8221 ; in the bible, I was directed to Psalm
73:21-26. It states, ? When my bosom was grieved and my spirit embittered, I was
senseless and ignorant ; I was a beastly animal before you. Yet I am ever with
you ; you hold me by my right manus. You guide me with your advocate, and
subsequently you will take me into glorification. Whom have I in Eden but you? And Earth
has nil I desire besides you. My flesh and my bosom may neglect, but God is
the strength of my bosom and my part everlastingly? . These poetries explain that God
is ever with us. No affair how bad fortunes get, God will be beside us
through it all. This is the chief ground that Job does non understand why God is
doing him endure. Job had ever been true to the Lord & # 8217 ; s word and had ne’er
done anything to merit what
he was being handed. His celebrity, luck, household,
and wellness were stripped of him for no evident ground. In Job 1:21, Job says, ?
Naked I came from my female parents womb. naked I will go. The Lord gave and the
Lord has taken off. May the name of the Lord be praised. ? Still Job was
faithful to the Lord, Jobs religion was stronger than his torment.
What makes people believe in the Lord and stand beside him through
everything? Wars, natural catastrophes, and disease are all events that can do
people doubt God, but the strong trusters stick with the Lord. When Job had
fundamentally his whole life taken off from him, he was all entirely except for his
friends. His friends were at that place for him, but non in a manner that he wanted them
to be. His friends kept inquiring him what he had done to merit the agony
God placed upon him. They told him that if he repented his wickednesss, he would acquire
all he lost back. Job still insisted that he had done nil incorrect. His
friends were non giving him the support he wanted.
Job was in a batch of hurting, physically and emotionally. He wanted to cognize
why God chose him to endure. In comparing the book of Job to modern twenty-four hours, I
think of the Olympic Park bombing this last summer at the Summer Games. Richard
Jewell was the targeted suspect for a good 4 months, he was finally dropped
as a suspect. This was good intelligence for Jewell, but he will ne’er be the same
individual. He will everlastingly populate his life in the shadow of this awful incident.
I wonder if Richard Jewell feels that he has become a better individual due to his
agony?
In the terminal, Job does eventually acquire back all he had lost, and so some.
The unfortunate thing about this is he got back his kids, but they were non
the same kids as before. I am non a parent, but if I were to hold my kid
taken away from me and so be given a different one, it would be a atrocious
experience. The love a parent has for his or her kid can ne’er be substituted.
There is no replacing for a human being, you can replace merely about anything
else, nevertheless, no 1 can replace a lost life. If I were Job, I would hold
given up on the Lord. After what had happened I still would be really disquieted about
how I was treated. It is the people that deal with hardship this manner who are
rewarded in the terminal. All we can make is merely maintain on holding faith in the Lord and
he will hold faith in ourselves.
