The booms of modified import autos excite my senses as I walk towards the Dallas Convention Center, where the 2001 Hot Imports Night auto show is taking topographic point. All around me, groups of dying auto partisans rush towards the convention centre. Hundreds of people were already in line, impatiently waiting to purchase a ticket for the show. Luckily, I had already purchased my ticket online and did non hold to wait on this half-mile long line. As I approached the entryway, I was overwhelmed by the onslaught of sounds coming from within. I knew walking in that this will be a twenty-four hours I wouldn t shortly forget.

As I stood in that cavernous exhibitions hall, my eyes feasted on rows of modified Hondas, Acuras, Mazdas, and other import autos. The auto that caught my attending was a calcium hydroxide green 1995 Honda Civic Hatchback, reflecting radiantly below four stroboscope visible radiations. This auto had an Acura Integra GSR engine in it, a Greddy fumes system, headings, a turbocharger, intercooler, white rims, a firedrake decal on the goon, and many other alterations. Behind me I overheard a cat stating digital audiotapes fast, but there are better autos and I knew he was right. There were eternal rows of autos, and each row had its ain representation of flawlessness.

The autos were non the lone portion of the show that caught my attending. Standing by each sponsored auto was a miss in her mid mid-twentiess have oning everything but apparels. One miss had on a aureate studded Bikini, which complemented

her Venus-like organic structure and her long streamlined blond hair. Her guiltless smiling and seductive airs made it difficult for me to take my eyes off of her. There were besides theoretical accounts sitting behind desks subscribing postings for a modest fee. These were the theoretical accounts that graced the screen of auto magazines every bit good as Playboy. Standing in forepart of these theoretical accounts would be lines of fans who wanted an autograph and image. I tried to take a image of every auto theoretical account that I saw, unluckily I ran out of movie.

When I reached the terminal of the hall I was surprised to see a phonograph record jockey whirling break beats on a turntable and a rabble of people raving and dancing on a dance floor as if they were in a cabaret. The music that came from the four giant sized talkers at this country was even louder than the music that played throughout the hall. The stroboscope visible radiations had a dizzying affect, and my head blurred as I walked through the crowd of people dancing. In one corner of the dance floor, I managed to force through the crowd of fascinated people to acquire a glance of a short Asiatic cat, drenched with perspiration, have oning flared denims and a pink Polo knit shirt wowing the crowd with his flawless interruption dancing abilities.

As I had predicted, the dark was anything but forgettable. I now uneasily await following twelvemonth s event, which will take topographic point following May. In the interim, I ll merely relive that dark in my head and larn some dance moves so that I can take part on the dance floor alternatively of standing around entering everyone else with a picture camera.
