Justice of America

The Greek philosopher Plato thought that there were four virtuousnesss: wisdom, bravery, moderation, and justness. The most of import of these is wisdom, which is cognition of that which is genuinely good. Peoples who have wisdom and, as a consequence, cognize what is genuinely good will be given to make what is right. These people will move in their ain true involvement and be in harmoniousness with themselves. This harmoniousness is the footing of all justness. Peoples who have justness, in Plato & # 8217 ; s position, will be given to hold other virtuousnesss as good. ( World Book Encyclopedia ; Ethical motives, Justice. ) We as a state all believe in justness and that it works to continue our state & # 8217 ; s heritage. So it is deserving contending for when people threaten our freedom.

Justice is a difficult term to specify. Each society and state has different positions and moral criterions, so it is difficult to wholly specify it in one definition. The United States looks at justness as a moral criterion that applies to all human behavior. The Taliban does non see it this manner. The Taleban and other groups like them have really different positions of justness. To the Taleban members human behavior is directed by faith and civilization, whereas we are directed by civility and concluding. They thought that they were functioning & # 8220 ; justness & # 8221 ; to the United States when they flew aeroplanes into both of the World Trade Center Buildings and killed 1000s of guiltless people on September 11, 2001. & # 8220 ; The United provinces is incorrect for their actions. & # 8221 ; That was their spiritual concluding for making & # 8220 ; justness & # 8221 ; to the United States. But that is non what was done to our state. In the United States we call it terrorist act. But could this terrorist act have been avoided? It perchance could hold if both sides were willing to listen and seek to understand where each other are coming from. To farther reply that inquiry we have to look at both sides of the coin. Their manner of life is so different from our every twenty-four hours lives in the United States that there is no manner our definitions of justness are traveling to hold. They have different criterions, beliefs, and precedences. Part of their civilization says that adult females are non even allowed to be portion of

their society, whereas we allow adult females to be elected functionaries in our states Senate and Congress. As you can obviously see, our positions are wholly different. But no affair how different we are from each other, nil they say or do can warrant what they did to our state.

President Bush has his ain positions on the affair, much different from that of the Taleban. On the twenty-four hours these onslaughts were made he has said that we will present justness in its fullest to the aggressors and the state that harbors them. The president is entirely concentrating his disposal on declaring war on terrorists across the universe. He has said that this will be a difficult war and it will take clip, much different from any other war that we have of all time fought. But justness will be done. On October 12 we began to revenge against the terrorists. We bombed several marks that included: military central office, terrorist preparation cantonments, and airdromes in Kabul. Our Fundamental law says in article III, subdivision III, & # 8220 ; lese majesty against the United States, shall dwell of imposing war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them assistance and comfort. & # 8221 ; This is the manner we should handle the terrorists. We should be merciless on the Taleban as they were on us when they slaughtered 1000s of guiltless people in New York. We should all stand behind our president and his docket in this clip of war.

Since we have started these onslaughts of our ain on the Taleban, they are impeaching us of terrorist act. They say that we have no right to respond against the Taleban if we do non back up our actions with grounds, grounds that shows that the Taleban was involved in the devastation of the World Trade Center edifices. We say that you provide some grounds that even intimations that the Taleban had no portion in these onslaughts. It is amusing ; they attack us, we call it terrorist act, and they call it justness. We attack them back, we call it justness, and they call it terrorist act. Here is another difference in our positions. But as we continue to transport out justness in our position we will kip good at dark cognizing that justness will be done, possibly non right off, but finally for the great loss our state has suffered.
