From the really start of the circuit I thought to myself, & # 8220 ; Why does it count if we have more than one key, or earrings, or any other sort of jewellery. I could non even believe why we could non convey paper currency into the prison. I was non even anticipating to acquire patted down by the guards or holding a Canis familiaris odor for certain aromas before come ining the chief prison. These thoughts of what I thought the prison system was, was about to alter. About to alter every bit shortly as I walked through those steal doors. We were sent back to go forth keys, leave jewellery, and/or take back paper money we had in our pockets. I did non understand why we had to make all of this merely to take a circuit of the prison. Another thought I had of prisons which was proven incorrect by traveling to Mt. Olive was the fact that prisons were leting so many privileges to the inmates. I thought that the inmates should non be able to watch telecasting, lift weights, drama hoops, acquire on computing machines, or even take categories to acquire college recognition. I use to believe that the captive should merely sit in their cell and believe about the offenses that they have committed. I thought that there was no manner we should allow those captives get any privileges at all. They should merely sit at that place and believe of what they did incorrectly. After speaking with one of the officers I realized that if they were merely sitting in their cells believing they would non be believing of the offenses they committed but the 1s they are about to perpetrate. They are besides believing of ways to ache guards or thought of ways to get away from the prison.
