Pearl Harbor & # 8211 ; Brief Look

On December 7, 1941 the U.S. military personnels stationed on the island of

Pearl Harbor were non waken up by the familiar sound of a bugle but

alternatively by gunshot and detonations. This is what it might hold been

like if you were one of the military personnels at Pearl Harbor. This onslaught was

of import because it led to other events in World War II. Some of

these events were America & # 8217 ; s engagement in the war and the dropping of

the Atom Bomb at Hiroshima.

Between the old ages of 1920 and 1940 dictators came to power in

Germany, Italy, and Japan. The first state to hold a absolutism

was Italy. Thier dictator was Benito Mussolini. He became dictator

in 1922. Mussolini organized and founded the Fascist party before he

became dictator.

After thier loss in World War I Germany had terrible jobs

with thier economic system. Adolf Hitler and his political party the German nazi

promised they would stop Germanies jobs if Hitler became dictator.

The Germans made Hitler thier dictator in 1933.

Italy and Germany decided to go Alliess in 1939. They

called themselves the Axis Powers. Japan joined the Axis Powers in

1940.

The emperor of Japan at the present clip was Emperor Hirohito.

After he joined with the Axis Powers he started taking over

states, metropoliss, and island in and around Japan that belonged to

states who opposed the Axis Powers.

Joseph Stalin, the swayer of Russia at the present clip, sided

with Hitler until Hitler double crossed him and tried to take over

Russia. After the dual cross Stalin decided to side with the

Allies.

The Allies were the states that were opposed to the Axis

Powers. These states were Britain, France, the U.S.A. , and Russia.

The three leaders of the Allied Powers were Franklin D. Roosevelt,

the president of the U.S.A. , Winston Churchill, the premier curate of

Britain, and Joseph Stalin.

After World War II started Japan grew angry with the U.S.A.

because they were assisting China by directing them war supplies. Japan

didn & # 8217 ; t like this because China was the chief mark of Nipponese

onslaughts. As a consequence of this Japan decided to take a & # 8220 ; peace & # 8221 ; trip to

the U.S.A. . They made the trip in November of 1941. During this

& # 8220 ; peace & # 8221 ; trip Japan made three proposals to the authorities. These

proposals were, to halt helping China, to remain out of Asiatic personal businesss,

and to get down transporting oil to Japan compensate off or Japan would assail

the U.S.A. . President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the authorities of

& gt ; the United States didn & # 8217 ; t carry out these proposals.

As a consequence of this Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on the

forenoon of December 7, 1941 at 7:55 AM. The ground they attacked that

early was because Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, the individual in control of

the Nipponese war vessels in that country, knew most of the military personnels at Pearl

Harbor would be asleep.

The chief planes Japan used for the onslaught were bombers. The

figure of bombers used was 350. Six aircraft bearers are what these

planes were carried on. They chose to utilize bombers because thier

primary aim was to destruct as many ships as possible. They did

hold one squadron of combatant planes in each moving ridge, nevertheless. The ground

they did this was because Yamamoto predicted that the military personnels at Pearl

Harbor would be able to a launch a few planes. There were two moving ridges

of planes. The first moving ridge of planes were to destruct as many capital

ships as possible. Capital ships are ships that are powerful. The

planes that were still up and running after the first moving ridge were to

articulation in the 2nd moving ridge. The 2nd moving ridge of planes were to destruct

whatever was left after the first moving ridge of planes finished thier

mission. These were largely bearer ships and pigboats that were

surfaced.

During this onslaught precisely ten major bid ships were

destroyed. Some of the ships that were destroyed were the U.S.S.

Arizona, the Pennsylvania, the Maryland, and the West Virginia.

The major consequences off the bombardment of Pearl Harbor were

the engagement of the United States in World War II. The 2nd

major consequence was the dropping of the Atom Bomb at Hiroshima in Japan.

Harry S. Truman was the president who dropped the bomb on Japan

because F. D. Roosevelt died shortly before that happened. Before he

died he gave a address about what happened at Pearl Harbor. In this

address he said, & # 8220 ; Yesterday December 7,1941-a day of the month enchantress we live in

infamy [ entire shame ] -the United States of America was intentionally

attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan & # 8230 ; & # 8221 ; That was

merely portion of the address, nevertheless. The U.S.S.. Arizona which was one

of the most severely damaged ships because of the onslaught had a memorial

made for it. After the bombing American soldiers use the phrase

& # 8220 ; Remember Pearl Harbor & # 8221 ; to raise thier liquors during the balance of

the war.

This concludes my term paper on the & # 8220 ; Bombing of Pearl

Harbor & # 8221 ; . This paper covered a brief description of World War II and

the dictators during it, a sum-up of what happened earlier, during,

and after the bombardment of Pearl Harbor.
