The narrative revolves around the birth. life. decease and the creative activity of the fable of Osiris. the great male monarch of ancient Egypt. Osiris was born as the boy of Goddess Nut. His birth was a miracle in itself as Nut had to hedge the expletive of Re by adding five more yearss to the ordinary calendar. We understand right from the beginning that he is no ordinary individual. His deity is confirmed by the several auspicious marks that were seen over the land when he was born. An prophet even prophesied that he will convey great joy to his topics. Osiris marries his sister Isis and together they rule over Egypt.

He transforms his wild. barbarian. and cannibalistic topics into a refined and graceful civilisation. Osiris taught them to farm the land and cultivate grain. He showed them how to do staff of life and vino. Once his people knew how to feed themselves Osiris turned his attending to their rational growing. He taught them to obey Torahs and live as a peaceable community. He introduced the universe of humanistic disciplines and delighted them with his music and poesy. He is non merely an ordinary male monarch. but more of a God like figure who creates a new community. begins a new civilisation.

He is the God who transforms his land into Paradise. Then evil enters into the ideal universe in the signifier of Seth. the brother of Osiris. The guiltless and swearing Osiris is killed by Seth’s perfidy. Seth entraps him in a casket. seals it and throws it into the Nile. The moving ridges cast the casket into a tamarisk tree that grew on the shore. Osiris’s deity is once more affirmed by the fact that the tree grew subdivisions. foliages and flowers to incase the casket. It became celebrated for its beauty and aroma and King Malcander cut it down to do a pillar for his castle. unaware that it contained Osiris’s casket.

Meanwhile in Egypt Isis understands that her hubby is dead and goes in hunt of his organic structure. She searches far and broad and eventually comes to King Malcander’s tribunal. On recognizing that Isis is a goddess with charming powers King Malcander gave her the pillar which contained her husband’s casket. Isis takes the thorax and leaves for Egypt. But Seth discovers the concealed organic structure. rents it into 14 pieces and threw the pieces into the Nile. But the crocodiles in the river. out of their regard for the God. did non touch his flesh.

Isis goes in hunt for the rent pieces and discovers all but one of them. In each of the topographic points she found the rent pieces. she built a shrine and asked the priests to execute a funeral rite for Osiris. Thus Osiris’s funeral was held in 13 topographic points. But Isis did non bury Osiris in any of these topographic points. Alternatively she joined all the pieces of his organic structure. replaced by magic the losing portion. embalmed his organic structure and conceal it. Therefore we see that due to her attempts the fable of Osiris is steadfastly established in Egyptian civilization. By constructing temples in his honor. she immortalizes him as the God of Egypt.

Osiris’s spirit comes to see his boy Horus and trains the kid to face Seth. Re. another great God comes to assist Horus in his conflict against Seth. Horus eventually defeats Seth and avenges his father’s decease. But the battle between good and immorality does non stop at that place. It continues into life after decease. After his decease. Horus’s spirit contends with Seth’s spirit for the right to govern over the universe. In Egypt. Isis eventually reveals Osiris’s true grave. which came to be revered as the most sacred topographic point in the land. But the Egyptians still wait for the concluding conflict in which Horus will destruct Seth everlastingly.

They await the ultimate victory of goodness over immorality. after which Osiris will come back with his followings to earth once more. It is in this belief that the Egyptians started the usage of embalming dead organic structures and maintaining them beneath the pyramids. When immorality is wholly destroyed the blessed psyches can return to earth and come in their organic structures once more. Then. one time once more. there will be paradise on Earth under the leading of their beloved male monarch Osiris. The narrative trades with the ageless struggle between good and evil. It shows us that though the evil forces are truly powerful and destructive. they can be overcome.

And world. in its battle against immorality is ever assisted by Godhead forces. This is apparent from the fact that Re and Osiris helps Horus in his war against Seth. It ends on an optimistic note that immorality will be eventually conquered wholly. And that it is possible for world to populate peacefully and merrily under the regulation of an ideal God like Osiris.
