The novel I read was The Foreigners by S.E. Hinton. My transcript of The Outsiders was published in 1997, but the original was foremost published in 1967, both by Viking Penguin. S.E. Hinton wrote this novel when she was merely sixteen in the 1950? s. The times are different, so some thing were a small confusing, but overall the book was written good.

The narrative takes topographic point in a metropolis in Oklahoma in the fiftiess. The narrative? s chief character is a male child by the name of Ponyboy who is 14 old ages old. He is sensitive beneath a tough and baffled outer bed. Ponyboy is really smart for being a wetback, he has tuff looking hair, he has a strong physique for his age, he? s the youngest in the pack, and he doesn? Ts like the wetbacks image. Other chief characters include Johnny, Dally, Sodapop, and Darry. Johnny has dark eyes, jet black hair, a little physique, he is tall, quiet, he thinks he? s tough, and he has a bad attitude. Dally had really light-haired hair which is about white, he is tough and colder than the remainder of the male childs, and he has bluish eyes. Sodapop is tall, slender, he had long dark hair, misss like him, and he? s simple minded. Darry is the oldest, he? s muscular, he has dark brown hair, he? s rough, he has blue/green eyes, and he is really smart. Both

of Ponyboy? s parents die, so his truenesss turn to his brothers and his pack, who are unsmooth male childs from the incorrect side of the paths. Harmonizing to Ponyboy, there are two sorts of people in the universe: wetbacks and socs. A wetback is person who ever lives on the outside and needs to watch at that place back. A soc is person who has money, can acquire off with about anything, and has a large attitude. Ponyboy is a wetback, and he is proud of that. He is ever willing to contend against a pack of socs for the interest of wetbacks. In one of the battles, his best friend kills a member of a rival pack, a incubus of force Begins for Ponyboy.

I recommend this novel for a few grounds. I though it gives the reader a good penetration into how some people may be populating on the streets, and people should be thankful for what they have. The scene is the best that it can be for these characters and this secret plan. I felt that the characters related to the secret plan really good besides because the characters are really credible, and they make the narrative experience more existent. The novel was difficult to associate to in some parts because it was written in the 1950? s, and being read in 1998, but it is still a really good written novel. Students should read this fresh non as an assignment, but merely because it is a great novel.
